Janet Geib is an innovative instructional designer and facilitator with experience helping organizations increase profits and productivity through improved employee performance.
Since 1993 Janet has been building customized programs to address the unique issues and needs of her clients which include topics such as building relationships, coaching, customer service, effective communication, intentional/strategic thinking, leadership, negotiations, relationship selling, using strengths and sales strategy.
Janet addresses human performance issues by providing organizations with creative curriculum designs that target identified skill gaps. She has worked with a wide variety of client companies including among others Booz Allen Hamilton, Deloitte, GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council), HumanR, Huthwaite, Inc., Millington Savings Bank, the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), SunTrust Banks, Inc., the U.S. Geological Survey, Vantage Point Performance and Vanderbilt University.
During her career, Janet has presented at various management conferences and facilitates workshops on a wide range of topics.
Examples of her design work include:
- Designing full and half-day simulations involving multiple distractors.
- Incorporating technology into training courses to engage participants.
- Script writing for video training components.
- Designing creative case studies to facilitate synthesis of skills learned.
- Crafting innovative and fun activities to get participants out of their comfort zones, allowing their creativity to flow and increasing training effectiveness.
Janet holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Richmond and an M.S. in Adult Learning and Human Resource Development from Virginia Polytechnic University.
